DON'T BELIEVE THE GOOD REVIEWS
There are so many things wrong with this hotel, here's a couple of them :
- they promise IHG cleaning but rooms are not cleaned like ever, they don't even replace basic stuff like toilet paper
- you have to pay 10 bucks for the breakfast and it's really simple one, like almost anything to eat
- pictures on Maps do not reflect the hotels reality
- room service takes forever
- there's no water in the rooms and it also takes forever until someone brings it up. A hotel employee entered the room of my colegue while he was inside to bring the water, didn't even bother to ask if there was someone inside (what the heck)!!!!
- there are not so many good places to eat around the hotel
- looks like the hotel is struggling to survive after the pandemic
- the magnetic cards stop working every time you go out. I had to use change the card 3 times before entering the room when I checked in

Amigos, como en todas partes, los servicios Hoteleros siguen muy limitados. Hay reduccion de personal y la economia como en todas partes no esta reaccionando.si no les afectan las limitaciones. pues siempre serán bienvenidos... !!!

O hotel é bom, porém tive problemas com a ducha e algumas luzes queimadas. Pelo preço do hotel isso não deveria ocorrer. Fora isso, o café da manhã é bom e a cama muito confortável. Os funcionários são muito simpáticos.

El hotel Crowne Plaza se ubica en el centro mismo de Asunción lo que lo hace ideal para huéspedes que viajan tanto por turismo por su cercanía al casco histórico, museos y centros culturales, así como para los que viajan por negocios. Muy buena atención, el precio es acorde. Dentro del hotel ofrecen brunch y también hay una cafetería para huéspedes y no huéspedes. El hotel tiene una hermosa terraza con piscina que te da una vista bella del Río Paraguay. Ofrece también amplios salones para organizar eventos, conferencias, etc. Además en conjunto corporativo, al lado tienen el restaurante Lo de Osvaldo y en frente el bar restaurante 904. Tips: en caso de ir a tanto al hotel como al restaurante y al bar, independientemente a cuál iras, podes usar el estacionamento sin pagar nada, tienen tres lugares de estacionamiento y se puede entrar tanto por la calle Cerro Corá y por la calle 25 de Mayo.

During my stay in Asunción, I visited the coffee bar at the Crowne Hotel in Asunción almost every night. The place is charming with outdoor service as well, an excellent coffee, a friendly service and a very cozy atmosphere.
At nightfall, they prepare a cold tapas counter for self-service that is simply great in its variety and quality. And if you are a gentleman, you may be lucky enough to appreciate the grace of Astrid Domínguez, the owner, in one of her visits to the place.
If there is a point that prevents me from rewarding 5 stars to the place is the fact that, although smoking is prohibited in the place (it is a semi-closed bar with air conditioning), some customers do it and the employees do not exert pressure on them. When this happens, it's time to ask for your bill.

En mi estadía en Asunción visité casi todas las noches el bar cafetería del Crowne Hotel de Asunción. El lugar es encantador con posibilidad de servicio hacia la calle, un excelente café un servicio muy amable y un ambiente sumamente acogedor.
Al caer la noche preparan un mesón de tapas frías para autoservicio que es simplemente genial en su variedad y calidad. Y si usted es un caballero, quizás tenga la suerte de apreciar la gracia de Astrid Domínguez, la propietaria, en alguna de sus visitas por el lugar.
Si hay un punto que me impide colocar 5 estrellas es el hecho de que, aunque está prohibido fumar en el lugar (es un bar semi-cerrado con aire acondicionado), algunos clientes lo hacen y los empleados no ejercen la presión sobre los mismos. Cuando esto sucede, es hora de pedir la cuenta.

I really liked this hotel. Great location close to downtown Asuncion albeit not the newest fashion part of the city but it worked for my business. Excellent breakfast Buffett set up could be improved but loved the fresh fruit pastries and service. Same pro service for restaurant, staff is friendly awesome here.
Rooms are ample e great standing shower. Excellent complete gym. Pool was being renovated but should be awesome rooftop pool when finished. Price value was excellent too!

As a tour manager for a multi-platinum selling artist I was placed on the executive floor (7th.). I have no idea what the standard rooms are like. My room was large and luxurious containing a king bed, plasma TV, desk/work area and a small sitting area. The bathroom was also large and well equipped. There is a shower area, whirlpool tub and the amenities were plentiful. Shower caps, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and mouthwash were all available in quantity for two guests.
Now the cons: The pillows were HARD. My neck hurt after sleeping on them. The internet is okay but slow. Don't try using your MagicJack or Skype. The breakfast is probably the weakest link in the hotel. It's not a continental breakfast but it's a FAR way from the breakfast at the Mandarin Oriental Singapore which is my benchmark.
Overall a very good hotel with the potential to be better.

Great, classy hotel in an unappealing location. I've been told that the location for the Sheraton offers a lot more to travellers in terms of shops, bars, and restaurants. Otherwise you are sure to enjoy your stay in a hotel that sweats the details for you.
